Hello All

i think i am missing a page on the menu on the instrument cluster (the one where you can see MPG/outside temp/warnings and get the OKO message when you start up)

i understand that you can flick through the menus using the up and down button on the end of the window wiper stalk, i also understand that there is a reset button on the bottom where you can reset mpg/journey time, i also understand that the reset button switches you between different layouts of the info, however when i press the reset button to switch views i only get one options and the next page is blank

i will take some pics later and update the post

it seems like there should be another page/display that isn't there?

or am i just mis understanding what i have

also

when i press my Menu Button (by the Handbrake/wing mirror adjuster) i get the menu page with 4 options

menu
check
set
and help at the bottom

when i select menu it just takes me back to the standard display and no menu appears

when i select check, i only get a service indicator of how long i have to next service

should there be any other options

many thanks

It's been a while, but I think under 'set' you can alter which of the DIS trip computer functions are visible by putting ticks in boxes.

hi Adrian

thanks for this info, yes you are correct, you can tick which boxes you need, thats not what i am referring too, its difficult to explain

i will update post with some photos later on

basically i have all the boxes ticked on SET, the problem is actually when the menu is not selected and I'm flicking through the main display

Hiya

I've had a look - had to keep pausing it as you cycle through them so fast!

I see - followed by what my DIS reports these options as when you look at the fully selected tick list:

Average mpg - 0mpg
time - driving time
range - fuel range
instant mpg - mpg
av. speed - 0miles/h

where 0 is the symbol for average, with a line through it.

I've got 5 options and 5 ticks - I don't see that yours is any different?

Yes, it is - now i understand what you're confused about!

It's designed for night driving, in case you find the text distracting.  Much more noticeable on the red background DIS like yours than the colour ones.  What doesn't help is that if the DIS has been replaced the red background can be much more noticeable even when off.

It's covered in the manual where it says that button cycles through 3 functions - standard display, navigation system display (if fitted), display off.  It only mentions the ability to reset the trip functions under 'on-board computer' elsewhere in the handbook

Ah, understand now, got confused by the question which is why I didn't reply earlier.
Yup, normal, as Adrian says it cycles through a blank option. Personally I never use it and would like to be able to disable that, but you can't.

yeh it seems odd that it would flick through a blank page, however i guess it may suit some at night
