The best certainly won't be the cheapest. What are your requirements/usage/annual mileage?

https://www.event-tyres.co.uk/ is who I use. Currently using the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 AO on the S4.
A cracking tyre IMO

Mich pilot super sports on mine
Not cheap
Don't last
But awesome grip in wet and dry

Not much help apart from expensive doesn't always mean that they last longer

You probably need a hard compound

Contisport 5's get my vote on the S4

However, having gone through 4 Contis on the front of my Octavia VRS in a year I  tried Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 and they perform just as well as the contis did and in Octavia size were about 20 cheaper a corner

I have the same size wheels on my car and just bought Pirelli Rosso, as that was what the car was fitted with at initial factory build, not the best tyre for wear but good for comfort/noise/grip as a compromise. I'm an AA member, so for a laugh tried their price, ie AA Tyres, and with member discount, they beat everyone else - and, they gifted me 80 LoveToShop vouchers (20 per tyres of that size) as a deal between Pirelli and AA. So I ended up paying under 100 per tyre fitted etc as I did manage to claim and use the LoveToShop vouchers - all good so far!

I've looked up "Pirelli deal with AA Tyres and LoveToShop vouchers" on Google and it showed that deal, but when I looked under the T&C it says that it closed at the end of July, sorry!

When I chose AA Tyres to get my tyres, I did not know anything about the LoveToShop vouchers, it was only when I went through the final stages of paying that that "present" flashed across the screen, so I grabbed it, 80 to spend on something needed is 80 which ever way you look at it, Halfords seem to have got my 80 on washing/polishing stuff, tricky when they have that "3 for 2" sale on!!

Where did that come from?  Dunlops haven't been mentioned in this thread?!

My B6 S4 came on Dunlops, they were dire, car felt like a bar of soap in the wet, not confidence inspiring!  I threw the set away when the best was still 4 or 5mm and swapped to a set of Goodyear Eagle Asymmetrics which completely transformed the car and made it into the car I'd always wanted

The only tyres I'd put on a B8 S4 are Continental Sport Contact 5, Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 or 3, or Michelin Pilot Super Sport

I have been using Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2 tyres for that past 5 years including my B5 and they are currently on the B8 - cannot fault them

Had them on the B5 and were brilliant.  Hankooks Evo2's now Im back on 18's and again very good.  Any main brand you wont go wrong unless your tracking the thing.

I vote for Michelins. Had several sets on different Audis so far, and no complaints on these.

Any further options on this?
Picked up my car the other day and it has 4 tyres on it whom I've never even heard of.
What are peoples balances/experiences with the Noise, Grip and Fuel ratings? Just ignore them   ? Or do you notice the difference?
