Evening all.
My elder son has decided he needs to outdo his father on the power/performance/luggage stakes and upgrade from a B7 S4 Avant to a C7 S6 (Avant).

I expect he'll be buying a used one, so are there any important things he needs to look out for? Or are desirable/mandatory/pointless?

His S4 was a very high spec, having been originally ordered by a football manager. I expect he'll be after a similar high spec on the S6.
He very specifically doesn't want an RS6 for a number of reasons, not least that he lives in east-central London and doesn't want it nicked!

Finding one for sale will be the biggest challenge - they've sold in tiny numbers and that's even more limiting if there's spec requirements for any specific packs

I've only had my local dealer ring me about 1 avant in dealer stock since i enquired about 2 yrs ago!

Budget is all - best to download the brochure and decide on minimum wish list. I want ACC and HUD which limits things considerably. I'll prob go RS in the end as there's more high spec options, but understand his reasons for not wanting to

You are not joking - that would be like trying to find a virgin on Geordie Shore

There was an early but half decent spec Avant for sale local-ish to our part of the world Andrew when I looked on Autotrader a few weeks ago, independent garage, sensible miles, around 45-50k, was up for 31k iirc

The good news - 2013 and actually only 30,000 miles

The bad news - actually nowhere near us!  The polar opposite!  Callington, Cornwall

The ad mentions 'SD' Nav, but the touch pad and the screen looks like the HD version of the two Nav systems to me
