So I took the plunge a while ago and bought myself an RS6. Went for a test drive and instantly knew I had to have it Ė before I knew it my Imola S4 was headed off to a new home and I had this beast parked in the drive.

Itís hands down the best car Iíve ever owned; the power in unbelievable and itís without doubt the best sounding thing Iíve ever had the pleasure to drive. Yet for some reason I canít shake the urge for another B5Ö

So not for the first time, Iíve decided to trade up and start the hunt for another S4.

Details as follows

2003 C5 Audi RS6 Saloon
4.2 litre V8 Bi-turbo
Mugello Blue
91,380 miles (timing belt last done at 87,297)
Full history Ė 10 stamps in book (5 Audi, 4 MRC, 1 from my local VAG specialist) plus and huge folder of receipts and invoices
HPI Clear
5 Previous Owners
2 Keys
M.O.T. Ė 8th December 2017 (every old MOT present)

Upgrades/Modifications

MRC remap Ė 504bhp/724Nm with print out
Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers
Hotchkis front and read anti roll bars
Milltek cat-back exhaust system
RS2 Spark Plugs
(Coilovers, ARBís and exhaust all purchased from and fitted by MRC Ė invoice to prove)

Interior/Options

Generally in excellent condition throughout Ė the only obvious sign of wear is on driverís seat bolster
RS6 embossed Recaro interior Ė full black leather with silver piping, heated with electric fronts
RS6 embroidered mats
Centre arm rest
Carbon fibre trim
Alcantara headlining
Kenwood touch-screen head unit (USB, CD, Bluetooth, DAB, TV, DVD, etc etc)
Bose sound system
Cruise Control
Fitted with tracker

Exterior

Again, generally in very good condition, but not perfect. The car has plenty of stone chips and small age related marks, with the front end obviously being the worst. The rear bumper has some scuffs from loading/unloading and the driverís side skirt is also scuffed from entering/exiting the car. No rust/corrosion/bubbling anywhere. From 10 yards she looks spotless!

The engine bay is immaculate Ė all carbon fibre covers present
Wheels are also immaculate Ė recently refurbished. Vredesteins on front (5/6mm), Pirelli P-Zero's on the rear (4mm)
Standard C5 RS6 8 pot callipers - plenty of life left in the discs and pads, both front and rear
Electric folding mirrors (brushed aluminium)
Sunroof
Front & rear parking sensors
ĎV8 Bi Turboí decal Ė I had originally planned to remove this but itís actually grown on me. The previous owner had it professionally installed and can easily be removed
Black front rings, RS6 boot badge removed

History

As already mentioned, the car comes with a folder full of invoices and receipts Ė includes proof of regular servicing, oil changes, gear box services etc. Service stamps detailed below:

18,010 @ Newton Abbot Audi
27,513 @ Newton Abbot Audi
39,083 @ Newton Abbot Audi
45,169 @ Coulsdon Audi
56,845 @ Coulsdon Audi
67,010 @ MRC Tuning
71,500 @ MRC Tuning
76,418 @ MRC Tuning
79,381 @ MRC Tuning
91,045 @ Deutsche Tech

And a brief summary of the important stuff:

Cambelt replaced at 39,083 miles and again at 87,297 miles (March 2016)
13 oil changes, the most recent at 91,045 (June 2017)
4 Gearbox services, the most recent at 91,100 (diff oil was also changed at this time) (July 2017)

Loads of general maintenance, repairs, servicing and general upkeep not included here so please ask if you have any specific questions regarding history.

Bad bits

The external air temperature sensor is temperamental Ė works fine sometimes, reads -40 degrees other times. Itís cold in Scotland but not that cold.

The fuel gauge is accurate until you get to the last eight of a tank or so Ė if youíre at/below the red mark and leave the car for a period of time it will quite often read completely empty at next use. Iíve read this is quite common (https://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=118316), something to do with fuel being split between two sides of the tank and the level not being high enough to record a reading?? Good incentive to keep it topped up anyway!

And thatís it! The car pulls seriously well through every single gear, the gearbox is smooth in both auto and paddle shift mode, suspension is solid with no knocks or bangs. She warms up to 90 and stays there. Always run on V-Power. The exhaust note is unbelievable under load, but near enough completely silent when cruising on the motorway. For a bigger car it handles surprisingly well with the coilers and ARBís. It really is an awesome all-round motor but I need another B5 in my life and can neither justify or afford having both. If anyone is looking to tick a V8 off the list, I would seriously encourage a viewing!

Price: £9,995

There are cheaper ones out there and there are more expensive ones out there. I think given the extensive history and everything listed above thatís a fair price but feedback welcome.

Any questions please drop me a PM and Iíll get back to you. Happy to talk or over the phone or arrange to meet in person. Plenty more photos available if required.

Car is located in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Murray

Fresh wash & wax over the weekend and new windscreen going in tomorrow - current one has a few stone chips. I've also re-fitted the boot badge, looks much better!

Price is o.n.o

Murray

Another update!

The car now has a full 12 months MOT (21st September 2018). No advisories!

Mileage is just shy of 91,600.

I've removed the decals, some new photos below:

And a little shot from under the Barony A Frame this evening:

As above, any questions drop me a PM.

Murray
